I don't know if advertising is allowed but I thought I'd give it a try. I'm hosting a contest that members of this group might be interested in participating in.

Here's the details link--~~The Oracle Within-A Contest for Everyone-OPEN~~

If advertising isn't allowed please kindly forgive me and feel free to hide my comment! Thanks bunches!
Hi guys and girls. Check out this ISS time-lapse video I made youtu.be/B18UEqn5Yw4
Your group name got me really excited. The mention of astrology however got me to leave this page again. Such a pity. I'm not sure why you would want a group dedicated to both science and pseudo-science; it seems counterproductive.
This group was started with the objective to accommodate anything to do with celestial bodies, whether in science or mythology. I do not see how displaying different interests and art forms are counterproductive.
It might not be completely analogous, but do you reckon a group for both Christians and Satanists would fair well? For the art it doesn't matter, but the themes themselves are too conflicting to confine in one group.

Furthermore, by placing astrology with several science subjects you insinuate that astrology is scientific, which it's not. That's why I think it's counterproductive.

If you would've prominently stated that astrology is not scientific, there wouldn't be much of a problem. Right now you give ignorant people validation in believing in astrology. I mean, in the astrology folder I see an image called "My Goodluck Charms". All good and well, but how does that relate to stargazing?

Anyway, do note I'm not angry and I'm not looking for conflicts. I just wanted to voice my concerns. The astrology folder does feature some nice art, but that's besides the point.
I do not see anything conflicting about it as the whole purpose of this group is to display art. I do not believe in astrology, but the ancient studies and beliefs of celestial bodies intrigues me and makes for good art.
In ancient history, the line between astrology and astronomy was very thin and the wonder of space in general spurred scientific interest and growth.
It may not be scientific, but not all of the art here is. Much of it is art is merely inspired by space.
For example, a group dedicated to say a species of animal may feature artwork based on mythological representations of it.
I did not state for a second that astrology was scientific (it is anything but) but this group is dedicated to everything celestial, whether that is scientific or otherwise. As for giving "ignorant people validation in believing in astrology": I understand that people can believe in or study what they wish and I am in no way encouraging it by exhibiting art.

Hi, I've drawn a picture of Carl Sagan. Would it fit appropriately in this group?
